Winners of the 2016 TEPSA Proactivity Award

José Gracia Guirado and Albert Boadella Gispert, from the TEPSA Tarragona Operations and Engineering Departments, have won the 2016 Proactivity Award for their project “Alternative power connection for a new Motor Control Centre (MCC)”.

The new MCC will serve all the facilities associated with the Tarragona terminal expansion and will require a connection that is able to properly power all of the new plant’s motors, lighting, instruments and equipment.

The project submitted by José and Albert is able to generate cost savings of 73% as well as a four-week reduction in the time required to carry out the work. The jury has praised the proactivity and team work of the project’s authors as well as their motivation and involvement with TEPSA to find innovative technical solutions that offer more efficient results.

We offer our congratulations to the winners and hope their work inspires all TEPSA employees to participate in the innovation of the company’s processes.
