In 1994, TEPSA became the first terminal storage company in Spain to obtain the UNE EN ISO 9002:1994 certification, renewed in 2017 in accordance with the UNE EN ISO 9001:2015 norm. In 2003, it was the first in the sector to obtain the UNE EN ISO 14001:1996 certification, renewed in 2017 in accordance with the UNE EN ISO 14001:2015 norm. Finally, in 2011, health and safety management was integrated, and the company was certified according to the OSHAS 18001 standard. At the present time the three management systems are completely integrated into a single management certificate.
In 1998, TEPSA was the first company in Spain, and the third in Europe, to pass the SQAS CDI-T audit (Barcelona, Bilbao, Tarragona, and Valencia). In the periodic SQAS reviews, progress is made in improving the facilities and adapting our procedures to their requirements.
The main environmental aspects, objectives and improvement programmes, as well as our environmental behaviour, are public since they are verified according to the EMAS III Regulation.
TEPSA actively participates in forums and organisations in the port, industrial, and sector communities it belongs to, promoting the most responsible management for its activities.
