TEPSA receives the EMAS bronze recognition

The Directorate-General for Environmental Quality of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia has awarded the Barcelona and Tarragona terminals the EMAS bronze recognition, for the time that said terminals have been continuously registered with the EMAS. This recognition is given to companies who have been registered for between 5 and 10 years, and TEPSA joined the Eco-Management Audit Scheme (ESMAS), in December 2007, more than 7 years ago. The presentation ceremony was held on 19 May in Barcelona, coinciding with th 18º European Forum on Eco-innovation, and was led by Ms. Assumpta Farran, General Manager of Environmental Quality at the Autonomous Government of Catalonia, and Mr. Hugo-Maria Schally, Head of Eco-Innovation and Circular Economy at the European Commission.
The EMAS register is a voluntary tool designed by the European Commission for the registration and public recognition of entities who, like us, have an environmental management system in place to assess, manage and improve their environmental impacts.
In this sense, it is also worth noting that TEPSA, as a member of the Environmental Quality Working Group of the Barcelona Port Autohority, is participating in the creation of a group to bring together companies in the Port of Barcelona who are EMAS registered.
